This year's theme is "Double Down - July 20-23, 2023." If desired, please decorate floats/units accordingly. Extra points will be awarded during judging for units that participate.
Floats with LIVE music will receive bonus points towards their final score by the judges. This is to help promote LIVE music in our parade.
Parade Rules:
All entries will be judged on originality and quality. Judges will be placed randomly along the parade route.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three entries in our business and community group divisions. We will also have a prize for Best Use of Theme and overall Grand Champion. The judges' decision is final and each entry is only eligible to receive 1 prize.
Pre-Register on or before June 30, 2023, online or by mail. Only paid entries received on or before June 30th will be eligible for prizes. Entries will be accepted through July 19th.
Entry fee is $35 per unit entry. This fee is non-refundable. Non-profits can provide their tax exempt ID number in lieu of payment.
Please make sure to keep up with the parade pace. Large gaps between units are not acceptable. Any units "holding up" the parade will be disqualified from prizes.
Throwing candy from vehicles is prohibited. People walking with parade entries may hand out candy along the route. We want to keep this event safe for both participants and the public. If you are seen throwing candy from moving vehicles, you will not be eligible for prize money.
The Sherburne County Fair and Sherburne County Agricultural Society is NOT responsible for any accidents on the parade route. Please drive safely and stay aware of your surroundings.
Those who attend or participate in the parade may potentially have photos taken for use by the Sherburne County Fair Board or Sherburne County Agricultural Society. Attendance at fair events is giving consent for use of those photos in advertising or social media.
We are lining up along Main St near the Handke Center. Enter from the east by the downtown area. Numbers will be placed along the route on both sides of the street. Spacing is based on the information you provide on your parade registration.
